This is a mouthfilling Italian red from Puglia that you simply can't beat for the price. Doppio Passo means “double step” and it refers to the special process used to make this wine. The grapes are harvested at full ripeness and fermented normally. Then, a late harvest is done for grapes that were left on the vines. These grapes are pressed and then added into the vats to ferment with the other wine. This two step fermentation brings a finished wine that is full, rich and ultra-ripe, brimming with black plum and cassis flavors. An amazing value.

Tasting Notes:

This deep ruby wine has rich fruit scents, including cherries, blackcurrants, and dried fruit. The flavor is rich and sweet. Recommended to pair with beef, game, poultry, seafood, pasta, or pizza.
