Folonari Valpolicella Classico Superiore Ripasso NV
Member Review by Erik Haensel:
Takes a little breathing, say 45 minutes to an hour to reach its full potential but wow....the most potent $20 (CAN) bottle I have had in as long as I can remember. Its all pomegranate on the nose, hits like biting into the fruit, then falls with a light but rich body of under-ripe plum, almond, and yes more pomegranate. Delicately balanced with little to no acidity and almost devoid of bitterness. We drank this beauty with only the sunset as accompaniment, its low acidity and subtle flavor would be easily overpowered by rich food.
