  • Rathjen Cellars Rose 2018

The Rathjen Rose is a beautiful dark pink in the glass (I use a champagne flute for the purpose), and evokes smoky, sour cranberry on the nose. Entry is clean, acidic (mouth-puckering) with more cranberry, citrus, sour gooseberry and hint of smoke. Like spring water with cranberry juice (unsweetened). Good with Chinese food. 86. Read More

  • Rathjen Cellars Pinot Noir Saison Vineyard 2017

Rathjen Cellars has produced another quaffable Pinot Noir from the 2017 Vintage - a rather cool harvest year. The wine is slightly lighter in colour, with vegetative and strawberry notes on the nose. Celery and carrot stalk are fairly prominent. The entry is acidic, with sour strawberry and celery on the palate throughout. Good cold climate ... Read More
