Merry Christmas!

Posted by Lucha Vino, Dec 25, 2013.

Merry Christmas everybody!  I hope that you and your families are all enjoying the holidays together.

Lucha Vino Jr. and I are waiting for Mrs. Lucha Vino to awake from her long winter's nap.  The Snooth Forum seems like a good way to spend my time. :-)

Merry Christmas!

My in-laws brought me a couple of beauties for me from Seattle.  I'm SO easy to buy for!

Let us know if you get some goodies.

Crab Cioppino feast this evening with all the kids! Will be a great Christmas. Here's hoping that yours is memorable?

Merry Christmas idea what I'll be opening, have some good options though.

Merry Christmas, everybody.

Tri-tips are marinating.  The one wine that I know I'll be opening is a Sparkling red Burgundy.  Does that sound festive or what?  Surely, some red stills will be opened and there are some whites in the fridge (including one Sparkler) that will be ready for those that prefer it.  Brothers of EMark are coming over with subsets of their families.  Not very many of them are very seriously into wine, although one s-i-l, her daughter (niece) and niece's sweetheart seem to have more interest than most of the others.  Very warm, today.  It looks like Mrs EMark will get her wish, and we'll be eating in the back yard, today.

Merry Christmas,

Mark sounds like a great day. It's warming here too, topped out at 30 today. Shorts and T-shirt weather here. After hitting -31 earlier in the week it does feel warm. Probably won't eat in the backyard.

Merry Christmas to all of you! This marks my first Christmas as a Snoother, lol! I'm sure it won't be my last - it's been great, because of the many great people here.

This Christmas has been a little different for me - I've been sick lately and right now it looks like I may have to have my gall bladder taken out. Pity - as I'd been hoping I can keep it in! I am rather attached to my organs, as it turns out! :)

Regardless, it's nothing super serious but it is certainly inconvenient as I have to follow a restricted diet and it isn't possible to work in remote locations, as I often do. Not the greatest time of year to be eating low fat, but I'm appreciating the extra time at home with loved ones as that's what matters most. The upside - doctor says alcohol and caffeine are all good, so at least i have a few vices left. And I'll have lots more time to drink and learn about wine in the coming weeks. I had been quite busy with work going into November, so now I am making up for lost time in regards to wine. :)

Yes Jennifer, be grateful it's not more serious!

My wine drinking buddy (retired nuclear medicine specialist) recently had his gall-bladder removed.  He abstained from drinking wine for a bit, but when he had his first couple of glasses, he said the anesthetic must have effected him.  He couldn't enjoy as much wine as normal, for a month or so.

But, he's fine now!  So at least you can still enjoy wine!  Good luck and Happy New Year!

Thanks, DV! I had been worried that I'd find myself unable to drink any alcohol post surgery, period. A month of readjustment-time doesn't seem bad at all.

We got the best gift ever this Christmas, or the 22nd to be exact.

A Grand-Daughter!

Please welcome, future Snoother, Taylor-Madison to the world.

Not a bad thread to resurrect, to coin a seasonally appropriate (well not till Easter) thread.  Yes, best wishes to all and sundry!  December 25, 2019.

Though I've just passed the witching hour and am now into Boxing Day (not that it means much to Americans), Merry Christmas?!!

A Happy New Year, too.

And happy holidays to those who are celebrating other days around the solstice and the changing of the year.
