2009 King Estate Domaine Oregon Pinot Gris 12.5% $25.

7 months sur lie and it shows on the nose, lots of creamy brie rind note here with a touch oforchard furit.  Nice and clear, touch of sweetness up front, bright and clear with acid that really adds freshness right up front. Lots of fruit on the back end with a fine combintation of fruit and elegance. Represents 5% of the crop, top lots are identified after vinification. 90pts

NV Gloria Ferrer Blancs de Noir 90% Pinot Noir 10% Chardonnay Sonoma/Carneros 12.9% $20

Nice floral tones on the nose a little buttery with a hint of hazelnut.  Nice mousse, little coarse but persistant. Good flavors of citrus and red berryfruit, red apple skins nice roundness on the palate. Bright on the rather long finish. Lots of fun 87pts

2010 Vidal Blanc Barren Ridge Shenendoah Valley Va. 13% $15

Raw quince, passionfruit tones, a bit Sauvignon Blanc like though more floral than grassy. Nice feel, small wine, nice fruit on the palate, seems to have some RS weight on the mp, round leads to a finsih with nice acid. Evidently it's a dry wine, less than .3 g/l so this is glycerine. Nice and zesty very enjotable with simple fruit that has some sweet flavors and lovely acid on the finish. 2007 planted vines making this first fruit Well done.. 86pts

2010 Rappannock Cellars 14.5%  $23 100% barrel fermented, 7 months in oak, no malo, first vintage 200, doors to the winery opened 2001

Touch of alcohol on the nose, floral, lime blossom, honeycomb, nice entry, good cut, nice balance this is moderately large scaled but not overblown. the fruit is a bit straightforward on the palate with decent aroamtics. A little waxy fruit and a slight honied character from the wood. Some spice on the backend with a little burn but alcohol is well contained, finale shows a touch of mineral. 86pts
